We need a hands-on HR generalist to lead HR and payroll end-to-end, someone leaders trust when a situation is sensitive and the answer can’t wait.
The role:
- Advising senior leaders on employee relations, absence, probation and performance
- Running payroll: employee changes, statutory payments, pensions
- Managing safer recruitment, pre-employment checks and the Single Central Record
- Turning messy admin into simple systems that work
- Keeping us ready for inspection
You’re probably who we’re looking for if:
- You have HR management or generalist experience with UK employment practice
- You’ve run or managed payroll, including statutory and pension requirements
- You’ve handled recruitment and pre-employment checks (Safer Recruitment training, or the willingness to complete it promptly)
- You’re comfortable with HR databases and management information
- You know discretion isn’t a skill, it’s a standard
- You stay calm under pressure and anticipate what needs to happen next
A plus: CIPD, a payroll qualification (such as CIPP), and experience in an education setting.
