Legal Assistant / Paralegal - Residential Conveyancing
Location - Guildford
Salary - Up to 28,000pa DOE
Due to rural location, you must have your own transport!
A fantastic opportunity for a graduate seeking to join an established Surrey-based law firm is looking to recruit a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join their Residential Property team.
Working alongside an experienced Residential Property Associate, you will provide day-to-day legal and administrative support while developing your knowledge and experience within residential conveyancing.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working within a small, busy and friendly team, is highly organised and is confident taking ownership of tasks to support the wider department.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative and legal support throughout the residential conveyancing process
- Carrying out property searches
- Preparing completion statements
- Assisting with pre- and post-completion work
- Preparing accurate and timely correspondence and documentation
- Assisting with the management and maintenance of client files
- Supporting the smooth progression of property transactions from instruction through to completion
- Producing documents independently and accurately
- Liaising with clients and third parties by telephone and in person
- Providing a professional and high level of client service
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a Residential Property / Residential Conveyancing team
- Good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
- Excellent attention to detail
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Experience using a legal case management system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong team player who is happy to take ownership of tasks
- Friendly and professional approach
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with digital audio / dictation software would be advantageous
