We are looking for an adaptable, enthusiastic and established designer with excellent communication to lead and manage projects for the Landscape Department.
Key accountabilities:
- Project manage landscape led projects and multi-disciplinary teams
- Producing sustainable concept landscape designs
- Preparing, writing and contributing to Design Stage Reports
- Lead in preparing financial and technical proposals for the department
- Working together with the Company’s other landscape design offices overseas to help carry through concept designs to the detailed landscape design stage
- Working collaboratively with internal design departments and external consultants including urban designers, architects, planners and infrastructure engineers
- Contributing to deliverables and ensuring that they are submitted on time and to the highest quality
- Interacting with the Client representatives through meetings and presentations to represent the company’s interests
- Ensuring the Company’s QA system is always applied
- Monitoring of work produced by others within and external to the Landscape Department in the process of preparing reports and documentation for issue
- Project management and client relations management
Experience:
- 7+ years experience, with exposure to working on international projects
- Project / people management skills
- Firm understanding of design process
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary consultancy
- Strong report writing skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports
- Excellent presentation skills
Key Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- A bachelor’s degree in Landscape architecture/Design and preferably a postgraduate degree/diploma in Landscape architecture
- Project management experience of multidisciplinary projects
- A sound understanding of design processes and a good technical knowledge that can be shared and inspire the wider team
- An ability to execute with design excellence and attention to detail
- The ability to sketch/develop designs on paper and digitally
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in working on a variety of scales and typologies varying from master planning to site specific landscape
- Experience on projects from schematic design to construction documentation
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
- Fluent written and spoken English and have good report writing abilities
- Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Initiative, motivation and be a team player
