As a Lead Operations Development Engineer in the Specialist Crime Division, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Technical Intelligence Development Unit, directly impacting our officers and staff.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate on nationally coordinated projects to advance Targeted Equipment Interference (TEI) capabilities and technology, transforming UK policing operations.

Develop essential technical capabilities for Police Scotland Technical Collections.

Serve as the technical subject matter expert in areas such as: Exploit Development Penetration Testing Risk Assessment AI Tools Vulnerability Testing Provide oversight and assurance for capability design, making informed decisions regarding the technology used in operations.

Communicate and present effectively with police forces and external partner organisations across the country.

Required Skills and Qualifications Extensive experience in technical intelligence development and law enforcement technology.

Proven expertise in exploit development, penetration testing, and risk assessment.

Strong understanding of AI tools and vulnerability testing.

A valid driving licence is essential for this role.

Must have 10 years of UK residency.

Soft Skills Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively.
