To provide strategic leadership across Facilities Management, Capital Projects, Operational Excellence, and Sustainability, ensuring the site operates efficiently, safely, and in line with business objectives. The role is responsible for delivering infrastructure improvements, driving continuous improvement initiatives, reducing operational waste, and supporting long-term business growth while maintaining compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Site Facilities & Infrastructure Leadership
    Develop and execute site facilities strategies that support operational performance and future growth. Ensure buildings, services, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, while leading site improvement and development programmes. Promote an environment that enhances productivity, employee wellbeing, and operational efficiency.
  • Capital Projects Management
    Oversee the delivery of capital expenditure and business improvement projects from initial planning through to implementation and completion. Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales and budgets while achieving defined business objectives and providing measurable operational benefits.
  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
    Champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Apply Lean principles and best practice methodologies to improve productivity, eliminate waste, optimise processes, and strengthen performance across safety, quality, service, cost, and sustainability measures.
  • Sustainability & Waste Reduction
    Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives that reduce waste, improve resource utilisation, and support corporate ESG objectives. Ensure all waste management activities are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with long-term environmental goals.
  • Compliance, Quality & Risk Management
    Provide leadership and support to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BRC Packaging Standards, FSC / PEFC Requirements. Maintain effective governance and risk management processes, ensuring the site operates safely, responsibly, and in accordance with customer expectations.
