As a Finance Assistant in Edinburgh, you'll support the day-to-day accounting and financial tasks that keep the business running smoothly. This role in the business services industry is all about ensuring accurate records, assisting with reports, and being a reliable part of the finance team.

Description

  • Maintain and update financial records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and ensuring they meet deadlines.
  • Support the reconciliation of accounts, including bank statements and ledgers.
  • Process invoices, expenses, and payments efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Respond to internal and external financial queries promptly.
  • Help with month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting and finance department.

Profile

  • A background in accounting or finance, with relevant qualifications or training.
  • We are ideally looking for payroll experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using accounting software and tools.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • An understanding of financial processes and reporting requirements.

Job Offer

  • A permanent contract within the business services industry.
  • A salary range of £33,000 - £35,000 dependent on the level of experience.
  • The opportunity to work in Aberdeen
