Continuous Improvement Engineer
Commutable from March, Chatteris, Whittlesey, Wisbech, Ramsey and Peterborough
Salary: c.Β£50,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, days
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to support new machinery, product launches, and ongoing CI activity across site.
You'll act as a key stakeholder across projects, from new machines and launches to new SKUs, staying close to customer trials and visits. You'll also be a go-between for the engineering team, stepping in hands-on when needed while keeping your own skills sharp.
What you'll be doing:
Acting as a stakeholder across projects: new machines, launches, and new SKUs
Being present at launches, and understanding customer trials and visits
Acting as a go-between, stepping in for engineers when needed
Keeping hands-on skills current through RCA and CI work on existing machines
Taking a pragmatic approach, picking off low-hanging fruit and getting hands dirty where needed
What we're looking for:
A hands-on engineering background within manufacturing or food production
Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement
Comfortable working across projects and on the shop floor
A pragmatic, proactive approach to problem-solving
