Family Law Paralegal
Birmingham (Office-Based) £25,000 - £28,000
We're looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal/ Assistant to join our busy and growing team in Birmingham.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in both Private and Public Family Law, including Legal Aid matters, who can provide exceptional support while delivering outstanding client care.
What You'll Need
- Previous Family Law experience (essential)
- Experience in both Private and Public Family Law (essential)
- Knowledge of Divorce, Financial Remedies, Child Arrangements, Consent Orders, Pre/Post-Nuptial Agreements
- Strong client care and communication skills
- Experience supporting vulnerable clients
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Knowledge of Legal Aid processes and LAA Portal
The Role
- Supporting Fee Earners and Solicitors on a varied caseload
- Drafting statements, court documents and legal correspondence
- Preparing bundles and managing case files
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and external agencies
- Managing key dates and ensuring compliance with court directions
- Assisting with Legal Aid applications and funding matters
