The Opportunity:
If youre an experienced Key Account Manager within a highly regulated engineering environment then this is a fantastic opportunity for you! The Key Account Manager will oversee all orders and commercial business dealings with major customers across the world whilst developing relationships with those customers and internal stakeholders.
The Role:
Managing the entire commercial relationship with one or two major key global OEMs within a highly regulated engineering environment.
Cradle to grave order processing: handling the initial enquiry and dealing with all associated written and verbal communication, working with the estimating team on the bid process and negotiating quotations, order processing over very technical products, and resolving all queries during production until the product is despatched and exported.
Working with corporate departments to ensure compliance for credit control, export licenses, HM Revenue and Customers and internal procedures.
Responsible for day-to-day communication with the customer relating to new and existing quotations, delivery commitments, cost reduction activities, timescales audits, testing compliance and certifications
Regular meeting reviews with customer via Teams and face to face, which may involve the occasional visit on site with customers.
Creating weekly expedite reports using Oracle and other MS Projects systems.
General associated administration on the client account including export control diligence and credit control procedures.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience of managing large OEM customer accounts/portfolios within a highly regulated engineering environment essential.
Degree education or equivalent experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Experience of working in a technical environment, on a technical / mechanically engineered product.
Excellent organisational, communication and people skills along with drive and resourcefulness.
Capable of working under pressure to achieve set targets, strong time management skills.
Working Hours:
8.00am-4.00pm Monday to Friday (potential for hybrid working)
