Junior Procurement Assistant

Adecco is recruiting for an Engineering Procurement Assistant to join a successful and established manufacturing business within the engineering sector.
Working as part of a small procurement team, you will play a key role in supporting purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring materials and consumables are available to meet operational requirements. This opportunity would suit a highly organised individual with strong administrative and communication skills, ideally with previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing consumables, tooling and other engineering-related items.
- Maintaining accurate supplier, pricing and lead-time information.
- Expediting orders and liaising with suppliers to meet delivery requirements.
- Managing goods-in administration, including booking-in and delivery documentation.
- Providing administrative support to the procurement department.
- Communicating effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to provide timely updates.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain, engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with supply chain or procurement software would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
