Salary: Β£30,940 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am 5:00pm Holiday: 19 days annual leave + bank holidays Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Driver / Fitter to join a busy plant hire company supplying plant machinery up to 3 tonnes.
This is a varied, hands-on role, with approximately 70% of your time spent driving a 7.5-tonne beavertail vehicle , delivering and collecting plant machinery. The remaining time will be spent in the yard preparing and maintaining equipment ready for delivery.
The Role
Driving a 7.5-tonne beavertail vehicle
Delivering and collecting plant machinery from customers and sites
Loading and unloading equipment safely
Preparing plant machinery prior to delivery
Carrying out basic checks and general maintenance
Keeping the yard and equipment clean, organised and ready for hire
Working as part of a small, friendly team
Following all relevant health & safety procedures
Full training will be provided on all aspects of the role, including the plant equipment and fitting duties. xrnqpay
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a valid 7.5-tonne driving licence
Has previous experience driving a beavertail or similar vehicle (desirable)
Is practical and enjoys hands-on work
Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
Has a good attitude and is willing to learn
Can work independently and as part of a team
Takes pride in keeping vehicles and equipment in good condition
