About us At DFS Group, we're proud to help people create spaces they love to live in. We're home to DFS, Sofology, and The Sofa Delivery Company: three brands with their own personalities, brought together by a shared mission.

Behind our brands is a passionate Group team. From Finance and Technology to People, Marketing and Supply Chain, our Group functions power everything we do. They create the foundations that allow our brands to thrive, innovate and grow.

Whether you're supporting our brands or serving our customers, the mindset that connects us means we expect more of ourselves and each other. It means every customer is our favourite, every voice is valued, and every interaction is one we're proud of.

When you're part of a community that shares your way of thinking, the wins feel bigger. The effort feels worth it. It's a place where people stay because they feel valued, and find room to grow because they're challenged.

About the role Reporting to the Senior Business Partner (or Head of Department), the Business Partner (BP) acts as the vital link between Technology and specific business work streams. The BP is responsible for understanding business requirements, supporting the delivery of the functional plan, and ensuring that technology services are optimised to meet operational needs.

A BP is expected to manage established relationships, challenge existing processes to improve efficiency, and lead change initiatives with a focus on high-quality execution. Hybrid role based in Doncaster.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the delivery of the functional plan and identify opportunities to improve ways of working within their specific remit.
  • Managing and influencing key stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed and engaged.
  • Effectively handle conflicting priorities and provide 'constructive challenge' where necessary.
  • Supporting the delivery of business-critical technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and align with the wider Group strategy.
  • Consistently look for ways to do things better, faster, or more cost-effectively, and share these best practices across the team.
  • Responding to customer feedback proactively to improve the quality of service and identifies any emerging trends or issues.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to their own development and supports the growth of others through peer coaching and role-modelling the Group Values.
  • Ensuring resources are used effectively to deliver the best value for the business.
  • Being responsible for and ensuring every project within their remit is successfully transitioned into service and collaborates with Project Managers and Service Operations to ensure all transition criteria are met (e.g., support documentation, training, and knowledge transfer) so that the 'Go-Live' has minimal impact on business continuity.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a Business Analyst, Junior BP, or Project Management role within a technology environment.
  • Experience in successfully delivering technology-enabled change or process improvements.
  • Experience in managing relationships with middle management and cross-functional teams.
  • A solid understanding of the UK retail landscape and how technology drives commercial value.

Don't let it discourage you if you don't have all of this experience, it's a guideline that will help you hit the ground running. If the role sounds like it would be a great fit for you and you're confident that it suits you, we'd love you to apply.
