About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Production Administrator to join our client's engineering business based in Doncaster. This is a key role acting as the vital link between the production and planning teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations through accurate administration, reporting, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • - Act as the central point of contact between the production and planning teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication
  • - Provide regular updates on production progress, schedules, and any changes affecting output
  • - Support production forecasting, helping to track and predict workload and capacity
  • - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across all production administration tasks
  • - Raise issues, delays, and discrepancies promptly to the relevant teams
  • - Prepare and distribute reports on production performance, delays, and KPIs
  • - Liaise closely with the planning team to align schedules and resolve conflicts
  • - Support general administrative duties across the production department
  • - Maintain and update spreadsheets, trackers, and databases with a high level of accuracy
  • - Flag any risks to production timelines and elevate where necessary

Skills & Experience Required

  • - Strong Excel skills - confident using formulas, spreadsheets, and data tracking tools (essential)
  • - Excellent administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • - Clear and confident communicator, comfortable liaising between different teams
  • - Ability to work proactively, spotting and raising issues before they
  • - Experience in a production, manufacturing, or engineering environment is desirable but not essential
  • - Comfortable working with reporting and forecasting data
