Payroll and Accounts Assistant

Salary: Up to Β£40,000
Location: Doncaster
Contract: Temporary ongoing
Start: ASAP
Hours: Full time, with part-time options considered

I'm working with a fantastic business who are looking for a Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary ongoing basis.

This is a varied role combining full end-to-end payroll with day-to-day accounts support. You'll take ownership of the payroll process while also supporting with purchase orders, invoicing and general finance administration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process full end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll
  • Prepare payroll output and upload BACS payment files to the bank
  • Process and manage purchase orders
  • Handle inbound and outbound invoicing
  • Manage day-to-day invoicing using NetSuite
  • Support with general accounts administration
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
  • Liaise with HR regarding payroll information and queries
  • Maintain accurate finance and payroll records

You'll need previous experience processing payroll from start to finish, including BACS payments, alongside a good understanding of general accounts processes.

Experience with Sage payroll and NetSuite would be beneficial, although strong systems experience will be considered.

The role is available immediately on a temporary ongoing basis and part-time hours can be considered for the right person. The current requirement is expected to continue while the business reviews its longer-term payroll arrangements, with plans to potentially outsource payroll later in the year.

If you have strong payroll experience and are looking for a temporary role combining payroll and accounts, please get in touch.
