We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and br working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come. br br strong About the role br /strong br As a CDC Analyst, you’ll enhance security and protect organisational assets and br users by monitoring, detecting and responding to security incidents within the br Cyber Defence Centre (CDC). br br You’ll play a critical role in incident response, swiftly investigating and br mitigating security breaches to minimize their impact. The role will involve br monitoring and detecting emerging threats and communicate findings to br stakeholders. Additionally, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement by actively br participating in the development of security policies and procedures. br br This is a key role in ensuring the reliability and safety of UK critical br national infrastructure. br br strong Cybersecurity Monitoring: /strong Continuously monitoring the efficacy and br maintain OT security monitoring solutions deployed within the OT environment. br strong Incident Response: /strong Developing and implementing incident response plans for br handling cyber incidents in OT environments, including containment, br eradication, and recovery procedures. br strong Vulnerability Management: /strong Acknowledging and assessing vulnerabilities in br OT systems and coordinate with relevant teams to remediate them. br strong Collaboration: /strong Collaborating with IT and Generation Engineering/Operation br teams to ensure timely resolution of security Incidents. br strong Documentation: /strong Maintaining detailed records of security incidents, br assessments, and remediation efforts. br br Additional responsibilities include: br br – Analysing and interpreting situations, applying knowledge and experience to br determine the appropriate solution. br – Applying professional reasoning when interacting with others to gain br understanding, support or to influence others. br – Engaging with contractors and colleagues from other areas of the business. br – Proposing changes to existing processes to help drive efficiency and br effectiveness. br – Ensuring own work, and/or that of the team, is compliant with the appropriate br regulations, policies and procedures. br – Analysing and responding to security events. br – Incident detection and response. br br strong Who we’re looking for /strong br br You’ll have a background in Cyber Security and/ or Operational Technology, with br a sound understanding of network security.
