SF Partners are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a close-knit finance team. Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, you'll take ownership of your own customer ledger, building relationships, resolving queries and keeping overdue debt to a minimum.
This would suit someone who enjoys getting on the phone, investigating account queries and working closely with customers and sales teams to get payments in.
What You'll Be Doing
- Chasing outstanding payments by phone and email.
- Managing customer accounts within agreed credit terms and limits.
- Setting up new accounts and carrying out credit checks.
- Reconciling accounts and resolving queries that delay payment.
- Working with the sales team to manage credit risk and overdue balances.
- Taking ownership of your collection targets and aged debt.
What You'll Bring
- Previous credit control experience would be advantageous, ideally within an SME or similar environment.
- A confident, friendly telephone manner and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to chasing payments.
- Confidence using Excel.
- The initiative to investigate queries and see them through to resolution.
