JOB PURPOSE To effectively manage the day to day running of the Production Planning and materials department, responsible for all departmental employees. Develop improve and streamline the planning and materials processes Supporting the business in the day to day execution of production scheduling and materials management.Mitigate any delay to flow times that could alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Receiving customer schedules, planning requirements through the manufacturing process Preparing the production plan to accommodate our customers requirements, within production capabilities Monitoring performance and adjusting/re-organising where necessary to keep production on schedule Produce daily/forward plans and schedules to meet tight deadlines whilst also running a weekly site production forecast Analyse all work orders for completenesss of material and resources based on customer orders Analysing an managing materials stock levels, minimising costs to the company Schedule, expedite and coordinate the delivery and movement of critical, material, including material transfers Monitoring performance, and adjusting/re-organising where necessary to keep production on schedule
