Our client, a growing managed IT services provider, is hiring a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to support their expanding client base while helping establish their new Cheltenham office. This role offers the opportunity to join a business that has experienced significant growth, expanding from 4 to 40 employees in the past three years. As part of this growth, they are opening a new office in Cheltenham, and this position will be one of the first hires in the new location, offering excellent scope for career progression and influence as the team grows.
The company provides managed IT support, cloud services, cybersecurity solutions and infrastructure support to a wide range of organisations, with a strong focus on delivering responsive, high-quality service.
What you’ll do:
- Provide 2nd line technical support across desktop, server and cloud environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues escalated from the service desk
- Support Microsoft 365, networking, and server infrastructure
- Assist with system upgrades, installations and project delivery
- Provide remote and occasional on-site support to business clients
You’ll work closely with other engineers, service desk colleagues and project teams to ensure clients receive reliable and proactive IT support.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role, ideally within an MSP environment
- Strong troubleshooting across Windows environments and Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of Active Directory, networking and endpoint management
- Experience supporting servers, backups and cloud platforms
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
