Due to continued growth within our Insurance Reinstatement Division, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Schedule of Rates Analyst / Insurance Cost Consultant to join our team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing costs, preparing detailed scopes of works and working closely with insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and project teams to ensure projects are accurately costed, managed and delivered.

The Opportunity You'll be at the heart of our insurance repair operation, responsible for analysing client Schedule of Rates, preparing repair scopes, pricing variations, managing final accounts and providing commercial support throughout the lifecycle of insurance reinstatement projects.
Working closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Project Teams and Insurance Clients, you will play a key role in ensuring projects remain commercially viable, accurately priced and effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities Schedule of Rates Analysis Analyse client Schedule of Rates and pricing frameworks
Interpret insurer and client pricing methodologies
Identify opportunities and risks within contract pricing structures
Ensure scopes of work are correctly aligned to client SORs
Scope Preparation Produce detailed repair scopes from survey information, reports and site inspections
Interpret building defects and damage reports
Prepare comprehensive specifications for insurance reinstatement projects
Work closely with operational teams to develop accurate project scopes
Variations & Final Accounts Identify and prepare variations throughout project delivery
Monitor changes against original scopes and budgets
Produce supporting documentation for variation submissions
Prepare and negotiate final accounts
Reconcile completed works against Schedule of Rates frameworks
Commercial & Financial Management Produce project budgets and financial forecasts
Analyse project margins and profitability
Monitor costs against approved schedules
Support commercial reporting and performance analysis
Assist with tender reviews and pricing submissions
Stakeholder Management Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters and surveyors
Support Contracts Managers and Operational Teams
Attend project review meetings where required
Provide technical and commercial advice to project stakeholders
What We're Looking For Essential Requirements Strong construction, building repair or property maintenance knowledge
Excellent understanding of Schedule of Rates pricing mechanisms
Experience preparing scopes of work and specifications
Experience managing variations and final accounts
Strong commercial awareness
Ability to interpret technical reports and survey information
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Experience preparing project budgets and forecasts
Good understanding of insurance reinstatement projects
Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
