AAT Accounts Assistant

The successful candidate will become a key member of the finance team and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day accounting function while developing their career within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Performing bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Monitoring cash flow and supporting cash management activities.
- Investigating and resolving financial queries.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity.
- Assisting with financial reporting and analysis.
- Supporting process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.
- About the Candidate
- AAT qualification or be actively studying towards completion.
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant, or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles.
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the business.
