We're partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing organisation in Cambridge seeking an exceptional Graduate Finance Assistant to join their collaborative finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a bright, analytical individual who is looking to gain hands‑on experience, develop a professional accountancy qualification, and build a long-term career within finance.
Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and commercial finance activities while receiving ongoing training and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management
- Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Raising sales invoices and maintaining financial records
- Assisting with budgeting, reporting and financial analysis
- Supporting finance projects and process improvements
- Working with internal stakeholders across the business
- Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail across all financial transactions
About You
We're seeking someone who combines academic excellence with ambition and a genuine interest in pursuing a finance career.
- A strong academic background, ideally a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset
- Outstanding communication skills
- The drive and determination to progress towards a professional qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
Previous finance experience is welcome but not essential. Attitude, aptitude and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
