Join Halfords Autocentres as a Vehicle Technician, where you'll have the opportunity to gain your MOT Tester licence, if not currently held.
We'll support you through this qualification, with a salary increase available on successful completion
As a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you'll already be skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work.
You'll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across vehicle electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
Once qualified, you'll also carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and complete a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work.
From advanced diagnostics and complex repairs through to routine servicing, you'll ensure every vehicle is maintained and repaired to the highest standard, helping to keep our customers safely on the road.

Skills and experience
- Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment
- Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
- Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and more complex repairs and replacements
- Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.
