Rate: £25.00 per hour CIS
Working Hours: 7:30am - 6:00pm, with 10 hours paid
Duration: Friday 11th September - Monday 21st September 2026
Parking: Available on site
Barker Ross Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced NVQ Level 3 Carpenter for a temporary assignment on a construction site in Brighton.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working within a construction environment and will be confident undertaking carpentry, handyman and general site duties in line with approved drawings and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out blockwork breakout
- Installing V-mesh and timber hoarding in accordance with approved temporary works drawings
- Installing and maintaining hole protection
- Walkway management
- Carrying out general carpentry and handyman duties as required
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or relevant Handyman qualification
- Valid Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card required
- Previous carpentry and handyman experience within a construction environment
- Ability to read and work from approved temporary works drawings
- Valid Right to Work in the UK
- Share code, where applicable
- Availability for the full duration of the assignment

- Hi-vis vest
- Hard hat
- Safety boots
- Gloves
- Safety glasses
Additional Information:
- Parking is available on site
- Candidates are advised to check their travel arrangements to BN2 before applying
- Relevant qualifications and Right to Work documentation will be verified prior to placement
