The Role
As Bookkeeper, you will take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting function. This is an office-based position offering a varied role within a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit control and supplier payments
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Processing expenses and petty cash
- Assisting with payroll administration
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Liaising with external accountants when required
Requirements
- Previous bookkeeping experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- A proactive and reliable approach
