This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team delivering essential infrastructure projects across Cornwall, Devon and the wider South West. Offering a hybrid working model, you'll have the opportunity to work on long-term framework contracts for leading utility providers while developing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Working closely with operational teams, you'll be involved throughout the pre-construction phase, ensuring tenders are commercially robust, technically accurate and submitted to a high standard.
Responsibilities
Preparing accurate estimates and quotations for infrastructure projects.
Pricing works using framework rates and first principle estimating.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information.
Supporting the preparation of tender and pre-construction documentation.
Working closely with operational teams to develop competitive submissions.
Liaising with clients and maintaining strong working relationships.
Using estimating and Microsoft Office software to manage project information.
Supporting continuous improvements across estimating processes.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
Previous estimating experience within utilities, civil engineering or drainage.
Experience working on water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
Knowledge of NEC contracts would be advantageous but is not essential.
