I am currently looking for a motivated Legal Secretary / Assistant within Residential Conveyancing to join our expanding Legal team within a modern, progressive company. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and career-focused individual to play a key role in the continued growth of the business while developing their own career.

The ideal candidate:

  • The successful candidate will be organised, detail-focused and confident working both independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
  • Ideally, you will have at least 2 years experience in residential conveyancing and be confident supporting matters through to completion.

Your duties:

  • Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from file opening through to completion, including purchases, sales, remortgages, probate sales, transfers and redemptions.
  • Handle client enquiries, liaise with all parties and provide clear, proactive updates throughout each transaction.
  • Prepare and issue contract packs, property reports and supporting legal documentation.
  • Raise, review and respond to enquiries accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage the receipt and arrangement of funds in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Prepare and submit Land Registry applications and deal with requisitions.
  • Prepare SDLT submissions and carry out post-completion matters.
  • Support leasehold and new build transactions where required.
  • Use Leap Legal Software where appropriate; previous experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
