HR Coordinator Birmingham City Centre - Fully Office Based up to 35 K - plus free parking Full Time, Permanent
Gleeson Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading international organisation to recruit an HR Coordinator to join its growing UK HR team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator, HR Assistant or HR Coordinator looking to develop their career within a dynamic, international environment. Working closely with the UK HR Business Partner and a central HR function overseas, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, commercially focused HR service across the UK.
The Role
As a key member of the UK HR team, you will provide support across the full employee lifecycle, acting as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees while ensuring HR processes remain compliant, accurate and efficient.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a key HR contact for managers and employees across the UK, working closely with the HR Business Partner and wider HR team.
- Supporting payroll and HR administration, including contracts, employee changes and monthly payroll coordination.
- Maintaining accurate employee records, HR systems, digital personnel files and reporting.
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment activity, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination and onboarding.
- Supporting employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, probation, absence management and offboarding.
- Providing day-to-day advice and support to managers and employees on HR-related queries.
- Supporting HR compliance, audits, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contributing to both UK and global HR projects, including areas such as employee retention, wellbeing and employer branding.
- Ensuring confidential and sensitive employee information is managed appropriately and in line with relevant legislation and company standards.
About You
We are looking for an HR professional who is proactive, organised and confident working across a broad range of HR activities.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an HR Assistant, HR Administrator or HR Coordinator position, ideally within an international or multi-site organisation.
- A good working knowledge of UK employment law, HR processes and payroll.
- Practical experience across recruitment, onboarding and wider employee lifecycle processes.
- A relevant degree in Business Administration, Psychology, HR or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be desirable.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with a proactive and detail-focused approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and experience using HRIS platforms such as Workday.
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- A collaborative, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently when required.
