You will join a multidisciplinary adult autism service where speech, language, communication and social interaction are treated as core parts of diagnostic understanding.
Your clinical reasoning will feed directly into MDT discussion, formulation and recommendations for the person being assessed.
The service works across psychology, nursing, OT, SLT and senior medical colleagues, with clear clinical oversight and governance.
Core diagnostic assessments are face-to-face, with hybrid working available for suitable non-diagnostic elements.

The job plan includes around 1822 hours of clinical assessment activity, 810 hours for reporting and formulation, and dedicated MDT, supervision and governance time.
You will need HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist, alongside significant post-qualification adult experience and confidence assessing communication and social interaction differences. xrnqpay
