One of the companies in our group is looking for a Payroll Apprentice for an immediate start.
About The Role
You'll be working alongside the Director learning & managing payroll processes and gaining practical experience in payroll whilst working towards your Level 2 Accounting Apprenticeship qualification.
You will receive full training and regular feedback, mentoring and continuous learning leaving you with valuable knowledge for further develop your career in payroll.
A full and varied role is on offer for the right candidate and your main responsibilities will be:
- Assist in the processing of end to end payroll calculations for multiple pay frequencies
- Updating pension schemes with contribution data for each pay period
- Dealing with setup and administration for new clients
- Liaising with 3rd party providers such as HMRC, pension providers and various Government depts
- Answering payroll related queries from clients & their staff
- Updating client spreadsheets for various data capture
- Learning & keeping up to date with the latest payroll legislation
- Assisting with change of software, integration & upgrades
Skills & Experience
- The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and as part of a small team as well as independently.
- Payroll is extremely time sensitive so the ability to priorities workload and work to tight deadlines is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and accruacy.
- Good communication skills and a confident nature
