Purchase Ledger Clerk (Temporary)
Location: Alton, Hampshire
Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary (Immediate Start Available)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
The Opportunity
An established and growing business based in Alton is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- - Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- - Matching, batching and coding invoices
- - Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
- - Managing supplier payments and payment runs
- - Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
- - Maintaining accurate supplier records
- - Assisting with month-end processes as required
- - Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
Candidate Requirements
- - Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position
- - Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- - Confident working with finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- - Excellent communication skills
- - Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
- - Available to start at short notice
