We are seeking an experienced Interim IT Director to lead a large, multi-site technology function through a period of transition. Reporting at senior level, the Interim IT Director will lead the organisation’s Technology function, ensuring services operate reliably and effectively within agreed budgets. The role is central to aligning technology delivery with organisational priorities, maintaining business-as-usual operations, and supporting future growth. The technology function underpins day-to-day operations, providing infrastructure, systems, and support across multiple sites. Services are delivered through a centralised engineering team, supported by regional resources and third-party suppliers, with a strong focus on proactive support and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of technology solutions and projects.
- Ensure scalable and resilient infrastructure across networks, servers, cloud, and core systems.
- Manage and develop high-performing teams across IT Operations, Business Systems, and Technical Delivery.
- Identify and address technology risks and issues as they arise.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party service providers.
- Own the technology budget, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, translating technical matters into clear business outcomes.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Degree in a relevant technical discipline; professional certifications desirable.
