Be a key contributor to the mobility of tomorrow! We are looking for a motivated and proactive Indirect / MRO Buyer to manage and optimize purchasing activities across our plants in Derbyshire. If you have a strong background in procurement within a manufacturing environment and enjoy negotiating, building supplier relationships, and driving savings — this role is for you!
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the supply strategy for indirect purchases (MRO, services, consumables) in line with business group objectives
- Lead RFQs, contract negotiations, and supplier selections
- Achieve savings targets and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Benchmark purchasing conditions and identify opportunities for optimization
- Monitor supplier performance, manage non-conformities, and ensure process adherence
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across sites and functions
Qualifications
- Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment (automotive a plus but not essential)
- CPIS qualification advantageous but not essential if supported by experience
- Strong skills in negotiation, supplier management, and contract handling
- Proactive, results-driven, and process-oriented
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritisation skills
- Able to work independently while knowing when to elevate concerns
