We are looking for a motivated and proactive Indirect / MRO Buyer to manage and optimize purchasing activities across our plants in the Midlands. If you have a strong background in procurement within a manufacturing environment and enjoy negotiating, building supplier relationships, and driving savings — this role is for you!
Your Main Responsibilities
Working closely with our Plant and Purchasing teams, you will:
- Develop and implement the supply strategy for indirect purchases (MRO, services, consumables)
- Lead RFQs, contract negotiations and supplier selections
- Deliver cost savings and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor supplier performance, manage non-conformities, and ensure process compliance
- Benchmark purchasing conditions and identify opportunities for optimization
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across multiple sites
Your Profile
- Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment (automotive a plus but not essential)
- Strong skills in negotiation, supplier management, and contract handling
- Knowledge of procurement processes (RFQ, sourcing, order-to-pay)
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
- Proactive, results-driven, and well-organized
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
