We are looking for a motivated and proactive Indirect / MRO Buyer to manage and optimize purchasing activities across our plants in the Midlands. If you have a strong background in procurement within a manufacturing environment and enjoy negotiating, building supplier relationships, and driving savings — this role is for you!

Your Main Responsibilities

Working closely with our Plant and Purchasing teams, you will:

  • Develop and implement the supply strategy for indirect purchases (MRO, services, consumables)
  • Lead RFQs, contract negotiations and supplier selections
  • Deliver cost savings and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage non-conformities, and ensure process compliance
  • Benchmark purchasing conditions and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across multiple sites

Your Profile

  • Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent professional experience
  • Several years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment (automotive a plus but not essential)
  • Strong skills in negotiation, supplier management, and contract handling
  • Knowledge of procurement processes (RFQ, sourcing, order-to-pay)
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
  • Proactive, results-driven, and well-organized
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
