We are seeking an International Audit Director to play a pivotal role in evolving our Internal Audit function. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a global organisation.
About the Role :
Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Internal Audit function in our international operations. You\’ll be instrumental in designing and delivering the International audit plan, including performing annual risk assessments, and will collaborate with the Global SOX team to develop a scalable and sustainable international SOX compliance program. Leading and developing a high-performing team will be a key aspect of this role, ensuring appropriate capability and resources to achieve business objectives. You\’ll oversee the Audit Managers, ensuring timely completion of audits, proper documentation, and adherence to methodologies, all while maintaining independence and the highest ethical and professional standards. This role offers the chance to implement effective risk-based audit methodologies, summarise International audit results with insightful analysis for executive leadership, and support the continuous improvement of risk and internal audit frameworks.
Responsibilities :
- Design and deliver the International audit plan.
- Collaborate with the Global SOX team.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Oversee Audit Managers and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Maintain independence and adhere to ethical standards.
- Implement effective risk-based audit methodologies.
- Summarise International audit results for executive leadership.
- Support continuous improvement of risk and internal audit frameworks.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor\’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master\’s preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in internal or external audit.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX 404, and COSO frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing and leading internal audit teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, professional ethics, and commitment to the organisation\’s mission.
