You’ll be the dedicated design owner for our B2B products, leading end-to-end design across international payments, FX, expense management, and core client journeys—from discovery through delivery. You’ll work sprint-ahead with Product and Engineering so validated, engineering-ready designs are ready before sprint planning. A core part of the role is establishing and evolving the B2B design system (components, patterns, tokens, and interaction standards), and embedding prototyping and usability testing into discovery to de-risk decisions early.
- End-to-end B2B product design across Payments, FX, Expense Management, and B2B client journeys — working sprint-ahead across active B2B tracks
- B2B design system — organise, document, and evolve the component library (patterns, tokens, variants, and interaction standards) with lightweight governance for consistent delivery
- Discovery prototyping — create clickable prototypes to validate direction and de-risk solutions early
- Engineering-ready handoffs — specification-quality Figma files delivered ahead of sprint start (states, edge cases, and interaction notes where needed)
- Cross-functional collaboration — participate in ceremonies and partner with Product/Engineering to shape scope, trade-offs, and sequencing while staying sprint-ahead
- Accessibility-by-default — apply inclusive design practices and ensure core journeys meet WCAG expectations where applicable
- B2C vendor design oversight (secondary) — review, challenge, and steer outsourced design output to protect standards
You will operate sprint-ahead across the B2B product tracks, attending sprint ceremonies and ensuring validated designs are ready at sprint planning — not during the sprint. You will work directly with B2B Product Managers to convert discovery outputs into workable prototypes and then high fidelity designs. You will inherit the design system built by the contracted designer during a structured onboarding overlap. Your first priority is understanding component ownership and documenting any gaps before the contractor departs. When the B2C Senior Designer joins, you will co-own the system, with clear component ownership split between domains.
Essential:
- 5+ years as a Senior UX/UI Designer with FinTech, complex B2B SaaS, or financial workflow product experience
- Ability to prototype interactions quickly (Figma prototyping; code-based prototypes a plus)
- A portfolio featuring strong examples of product design work across commercial apps
- Impressive design skills across iOS, Android, and web platforms
- The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and articulate design decisions clearly
- A solid understanding of the technical implications of design decisions
- Design system ownership — has maintained a component library inherited from others, not just used one
- Sprint-ahead discipline — understands that design is a constraint on engineering velocity and operates accordingly
- A focus on UX and a deep understanding of human behaviour
- Clean visual design sense with strong skills in typography and grids
- Strong research practice — usability testing, prototype validation, and translating findings into design decisions
- Figma proficiency — auto-layout, component variants, and design token standards
- Able to operate independently and make design decisions with authority without waiting for management direction
- A love for problem-solving and being challenged
