About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and creatively driven Senior Social Media Lead to lead and evolve our social presence across key platforms. This role will own both B2C and B2B social strategy, with a primary focus on high-impact, culturally relevant content across TikTok and Instagram. You will be responsible for shaping our social direction, driving audience growth and engagement, and delivering measurable business impact through both organic and paid social activity. This is a highly visible role, working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams across marketing, brand, and content. This is a hybrid position based in the UK, with travel flexibility required for key events and activations. You might be required to travel into the office once a week in Stoke on Trent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive social media strategy across B2C and B2B channels.
- Own and manage social media calendars, balancing planned campaigns with reactive, trend-led content.
- Identify and capitalise on cultural moments, platform trends, and emerging formats to drive relevance and reach.
- Define and evolve brand voice across all social platforms, ensuring consistency and impact.
- Creation of engaging video and static content across B2C channels, and/or collaborate with influencer agencies, creative partners, and freelancers to deliver best-in-class content as required.
- Work closely with the B2B content team to adapt and repurpose content for LinkedIn and other relevant channels for clients and prospects.
- Be a confident on-camera presence when required for activations and key campaigns, though on-camera presence is not a deal-breaker!
- Define, track, and report on key performance metrics (e.g. engagement, reach, growth, conversions, CPA, ROAS).
- Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations to refine strategy and improve performance.
- Own regular reporting cadence (weekly/monthly), presenting performance insights to senior stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor freelancers, agencies, and external partners to ensure high-quality output.
- Act as the key social media lead within the wider marketing team, collaborating across brand, PR, and performance marketing.
- Support the Head of Marketing in presenting strategies, results, and insights to senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
What You’ll Own:
- Growth and engagement of our social audiences across key platforms.
- Performance of both organic and paid social channels.
- Communication of a distinctive, high-performing brand voice.
- End-to-end campaign delivery, from ideation through to execution and optimisation.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of social media experience, ideally with agency background with strong B2C focus.
- Strong writing skills. Obsession with social helps. Enthusiastic about entire marketing mix.
- Extensive experience with TikTok and Instagram platforms, with a track record of successful campaigns.
- Strong familiarity with paid social campaigns and of social advertising strategy.
- Basic proficiency with photo and video editing tools for quick content tweaks.
