The BDM and Team Leader will lead a team of 4-6 salespeople focused on winning new end user customer business. The team leader will couple this leadership responsibility with owning a pipeline of self-managed large end user opportunities and be responsible for team development, end user development and self-won pipeline of new large +£1M new customers.

Primary Duties

  • Leading the team of 4-6 EU Customer Managers – providing clear direction, setting clear performance goals around New Business development and pipeline KPIs.
  • Recruiting and developing the best-in-class sales talent, providing them clear coaching and guidance.
  • Winning new business, through the team and self-delivered new business pipeline.
  • Leading on largest tenders and end user customer deals (working closely with the Sales Leader for end user Customers).
  • Attending networking events to build pipeline of key customers.
  • Working with the Senior Capability Leader to develop key team skills in Business Development.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the commercial sector.
  • A passion for hunting and winning new business.
  • Proven track record in Business Development (winning new customers).
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using sales and CRM software.
