Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Collaboration: Act as a crucial partner to the People & Culture (P&C) and Finance teams, supporting new hires, employee changes, and accurate data maintenance.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and manage relationships with external, outsourced payroll providers, ensuring the smooth implementation of changes and verification of all outputs.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Prepare, review, and submit draft payrolls for final tax calculations, ensuring timely approvals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local payroll legislation.
  • Advisory Service: Act as the primary point of contact for all employee payroll queries, delivering responsive, empathetic, and solution-oriented support.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous enhancements to payroll workflows, systems, and vendor relationships, identifying opportunities for best practice adoption and efficiency.
  • Termination Processing: Ensure timely and compliant processing of employee terminations, including accurate final payments and required local documentation.
  • Analytical Insight: Analyse monthly payroll changes, providing actionable insights and reporting to key internal stakeholders.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Prior experience in managing payroll across the EMEA region is essential.
  • Familiarity with diverse local tax regulations across EMEA is a strong advantage.
  • Independent Operator: Proven capability to manage the entire payroll function independently, often as a one-person payroll team.
  • Technically Proficient: Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, tables, and basic formulas, is required.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams (P&C, Finance) and external outsourced providers.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional levels of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
  • Proactive & Analytical: Possesses a curious and analytical mindset, with a willingness to question data, challenge assumptions, and take full ownership of queries through to resolution.
  • Flexible: A willingness to adapt working hours to meet critical month-end payroll activity peaks and deadlines.

If you are a self-driven Payroll Manager ready to take the reins of a complex, multi-territory payroll function, we encourage you to apply.
