A notable credit investment fund is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager to further develop its risk management function whilst playing a senior role within the risk environment. You will be instrumental in building out and implementing comprehensive risk methodologies across the platform, working closely with the investment team to inform strategic decisions and optimize portfolio construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of risk frameworks spanning credit, market, and operational domains
- Conduct independent risk analysis and stress-testing across public and private credit exposures
- Provide real-time risk oversight and advisory support to the investment team on deal evaluation, position sizing, and portfolio rebalancing
- Manage currency exposure and hedging strategies to protect fund performance and mitigate FX risk
- Contribute to LP communications, including risk reporting, performance attribution, and risk-adjusted return analysis
- Oversee risk infrastructure, including systems, data architecture, and governance processes
- Partner with operations and compliance on integrated risk management
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years' experience in credit or investment risk, ideally within a hedge fund, alternative asset manager, or institutional setting (VP to Director level+)
- Deep working knowledge of credit risk assessment across leveraged loans, high yield bonds and private credit
- Demonstrable expertise in both public and private credit markets
- Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in risk analytics, VaR/stress-testing methodologies, and financial modelling
- Proven ability to design and build risk processes from the ground up
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in translating complex risk concepts for LPs and senior stakeholders
- Intellectual rigor, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
