Location: Milton Keynes, with regular regional travel
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Home-based with travel to operational sites approximately 2 to 3 days per week
We’re supporting a growing, multi-site organisation with the appointment of an experienced HR Business Partner to provide hands‑on people support across a portfolio of locations.
This is a varied regional role where you’ll work closely with senior leaders and operational managers, providing practical and commercially focused advice across the full employee lifecycle.
Employee relations will form a key part of the position, so you’ll need to be confident managing complex casework independently while also contributing to wider people projects and organisational change.
What you’ll be doing
- Partnering with senior leaders and managers across a portfolio of operational sites
- Managing complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance cases
- Coaching managers to build their confidence in handling people matters
- Supporting organisational change, consultation and restructuring activity
- Providing advice across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance and employee engagement
- Helping to embed consistent people policies and processes across multiple locations
- Supporting the integration of new sites and teams
- Using people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
- Working with central People, Payroll, Recruitment and Learning and Development teams
- Contributing to wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience working as an HR Business Partner or in a similar generalist HR role
- Strong employee relations experience, including complex case management
- Experience supporting multiple sites and different stakeholder groups
- A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience supporting organisational change, restructuring or business transformation
- The ability to build credibility and influence managers at all levels
- A practical, resilient and solutions-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
A CIPD qualification and experience within a large, multi-site or operational organisation would be beneficial but are not essential.
