We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Director to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in working on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments.

As a Project Director, you will lead a multi-disciplined team and be responsible for providing direction and management for every phase of the project to ensure on-schedule completion within budget and in accordance with the contractual obligations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and direction to ensure efficient project execution and adherence to the timeline.
  • Oversee and monitor the contractors and sub-contractors’ activities to ensure successful completion of delivery as per contracts’ requirements, specifications and timelines.
  • Oversee day-to-day on-site Construction operations and advise on technical, logistical and administrative issues in order to ensure seamless projects delivery.
  • Lead periodic meetings with the contractors’ planning teams in order to ensure successful completion of delivery as per contracts’ requirements, specifications and timelines, and in synergy with other assets of the program.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute project plans aligned with the Client objectives, ensuring clarity in project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, Client, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality standards, overseeing the implementation of best practices and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Budgeting & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes to optimize project efficiency while controlling costs.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
  • Manage Health, safety and Environment (HSE) programs in coordination with the Client to ensure workers safety and compliance with HSE construction requirements.
  • Develop weekly and monthly progress reports including but not limited to progress made in each key area, analysis of progress against the overall program, explanation of delay causes, analysis of KPIs and assessment of quality issues in order to provide the Client with a clear view of the progress.
ABOUT YOU
  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management or related field preferred, membership of chartered institution.
  • Professional Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification preferred.
  • Years of Experience: over 20 years, and as Project Director/Manager over 12 years mainly as a Consultant. Candidates with exclusive contractors experience will not be taken into consideration.
  • Advanced level of English language. Basic Knowledge of Arabic Language is a plus.
  • Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
  • Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.
