We are searching for a highly experienced and meticulous Payroll Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function across our EMEA region. This is a critical standalone role that requires a self-motivated professional capable of ensuring accuracy, driving compliance, and providing exceptional service to our employees and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the monthly payroll process for all EMEA employees, ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance with diverse local regulations and tax requirements.

Strategic Collaboration – Act as a crucial partner to the People & Culture (P&C) and Finance teams, supporting new hires, employee changes, and accurate data maintenance.

Vendor Management – Coordinate and manage relationships with external, outsourced payroll providers, ensuring the smooth implementation of changes and verification of all outputs.

Compliance & Reporting – Prepare, review, and submit draft payrolls for final tax calculations, ensuring timely approvals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local payroll legislation.

Advisory Service – Act as the primary point of contact for all employee payroll queries, delivering responsive, empathetic, and solution-oriented support.

Process Improvement – Drive continuous enhancements to payroll workflows, systems, and vendor relationships, identifying opportunities for best practice adoption and efficiency.

Termination Processing – Ensure timely and compliant processing of employee terminations, including accurate final payments and required local documentation.

Analytical Insight – Analyse monthly payroll changes, providing actionable insights and reporting to key internal stakeholders.

Essential Experience & Skills:

Prior experience in managing payroll across the EMEA region is essential.

Familiarity with diverse local tax regulations across EMEA is a strong advantage.

Independent Operator – Proven capability to manage the entire payroll function independently, often as a one-person payroll team.

Technically Proficient – Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, tables, and basic formulas, is required.

Stakeholder Management – Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams (P&C, Finance) and external outsourced providers.

Detail-Oriented – Exceptional levels of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.

Proactive & Analytical – Possesses a curious and analytical mindset, with a willingness to question data, challenge assumptions, and take full ownership of queries through to resolution.

Flexible – A willingness to adapt working hours to meet critical month-end payroll activity peaks and deadlines.
