Key Responsibilities
- Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Develop and maintain short-term demand forecasts (0–4 months) in weekly time buckets.
- Enhance base forecasts using market intelligence, sales input, marketing plans, and financial insights.
- Analyze total market demand, including non-focus customers and channels, to ensure a robust and realistic demand plan.
- Review and challenge forecasts based on data trends, historical performance, and market developments.
- Track forecast accuracy KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support portfolio changes and product lifecycle management through demand insights.
- Ensure high-quality historical data to improve forecast reliability and analytics outputs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact for demand-related topics within the business unit.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and production teams.
- Lead demand reviews as part of the S&OP process and support supply chain alignment and sign-off.
- Communicate forecast changes, risks, and opportunities clearly and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with regional planning teams on exceptions and significant volume impacts.
- Promotion & Event Planning
- Integrate promotional activities, marketing campaigns, and market-specific events into demand plans.
- Monitor and analyze promotional uplift and post-event performance to improve future forecasts.
- Analytical & Forecasting Skills
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Experience with demand forecasting methodologies (e.g., time series, trend analysis, regression).
- Proven experience using demand planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP BI, SAP HANA or similar).
