Quantity Surveyor for a Major Sports & Leisure Project (£500m) 2–3 Year Fixed Contract Scotland, Greater Edinburgh. This is a rare opportunity to join the commercial team delivering the infrastructure package of a landmark £500m sport and leisure development, one of Scotland’s most ambitious projects of the decade.

The Role
- Take commercial ownership of the infrastructure and enabling works, covering:
- Groundworks, utilities, drainage, roads, public realm and associated civils
- Procurement strategy, tendering and contract administration
- Cost planning, forecasting, and value engineering
- Managing subcontractor accounts and monthly valuations
- Change control, risk management and reporting
- Working closely with PMs, design teams, and client stakeholders to keep the package on programme and on budget
This is a delivery‑focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys being embedded in the project, solving problems in real time, and keeping a major civils package commercially tight.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a QS on large‑scale civils, infrastructure or major build projects
- Strong contract knowledge
- Confidence managing complex subcontractor packages
- Ability to work proactively with site teams and senior stakeholders
- A delivery mindset. Commercially sharp, organised, and calm under pressure
2–3 year fixed‑term contract aligned to the infrastructure programme. Competitive day rate or FTC salary if you prefer. (Client will be flexible on this one). Based in Scotland with a mix of site and office presence.
