Confero Recruitment Group are supporting a highly respected Glasgow-based interior architecture and design studio seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer to lead the creative direction of hospitality projects for some of the world's most recognised hotel brands, including Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Accor.

The Opportunity

This isn't simply a role focused on hotel upgrades. It's about using exceptional interior design to completely redefine guest experiences and breathe new life into existing spaces. Working across a variety of hospitality environments, you'll create interiors that balance aesthetics, functionality, brand identity, and commercial success. What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the interior design process across hotel refurbishment and repositioning projects
  • Developing inspiring design concepts, narratives, mood boards, material palettes, and FF&E schemes
  • Designing guest-centric interior environments that enhance both experience and operational performance
  • Producing detailed design documentation and coordinating design packages through delivery
  • Collaborating closely with architects, contractors, consultants, and hotel brand teams
  • Managing projects from initial concept through to completion on site
  • Ensuring designs align with brand standards while maintaining originality and creative integrity
  • Presenting design proposals with confidence to clients, stakeholders, and international hotel groups
  • Mentoring junior designers and contributing to a positive studio culture

About You

We're looking for a passionate and commercially aware Interior Designer who combines strong creative vision with excellent project delivery skills. You'll ideally have:

  • 5-8 years' experience within Interior Design, ideally in hospitality, hotels, leisure, or high-end commercial interiors
  • A strong portfolio showcasing concept development, technical detailing, and completed projects
  • Experience managing interior design projects through multiple stages
  • Confidence in presenting ideas and building strong client relationships
  • A keen eye for materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and spatial planning
  • Experience working with recognised hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, IHG, or Accor (desirable)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, with Revit experience advantageous
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine passion for design excellence
