Job Description
Confero Recruitment Group is supporting a global FM Services Provider in their search for an experienced QHSE Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards across their UK operations based in Cambridgeshire.
Profile
The role will ensure compliance with statutory requirements and recognised management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, while driving a strong and proactive safety culture across all corporate and contract environments.
The successful candidate will be an experienced QHSE professional with strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and ISO management systems, and a proven ability to influence behaviours within a complex FM environment.
Experience implementing and managing ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, alongside CDM Regulations compliance, is essential.
A mechanical or electrical engineering background is desirable.
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is required, along with strong stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QHSE strategy, governance and compliance across corporate and contract operations.
- Act as the competent person for health, safety and environmental matters.
- Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments to ensure legislative and policy compliance.
- Maintain QHSE reporting systems and produce performance reports and trend analysis.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Promote safety culture through training, communications and toolbox talks.
- Manage subcontractor QHSE vetting and ongoing compliance.
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Management System and support third-party audits.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and waste management requirements and CDM Regulations.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
- Proven experience in Health and Safety and Quality Management, with Environmental experience desirable.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is essential.
