Facilities Maintenance Manager – Glasgow

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high performance and accountability.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to support team development.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for the maintenance team, resolving operational issues promptly.
  • Maintenance Operations
    • Plan, schedule, and prioritise workloads to ensure efficient day-to-day maintenance operations.
    • Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
    • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, on time, and in line with required standards and specifications.
  • Health & Safety
    • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across all maintenance activities.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor team and operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve productivity and quality.
    • Implement improvements to processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Coordination & Communication
    • Coordinate maintenance activities across departments to minimise downtime and operational impact.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding maintenance schedules, issues, and progress.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.
    • Produce regular reports on performance, maintenance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
