Purpose
- Drive growth by identifying, generating, and converting new business opportunities, creating strong early-stage client relationships and leading to new customer accounts
- Achieve quarterly and annual targets
- Execute the Sales Plan to support building a tender pipeline
- Collaborate with colleagues across department to develop and nurture client relationships
- Once established, transition new accounts to the Account Development team
- Implement sales strategies across all Conference Care services
How
- Conduct virtual and face to face meetings, site visits, client events and networking
- Deliver introductory presentations, demo sessions and support pitch development
- Generate consistent pipeline of new leads per month from contacts and referrals and other research tools such as digital media, CRM and procurement platforms
- Attend networking events, industry exhibitions and venue showcases
- Present monthly review of the business development strategy in Sales Meetings maintaining accurate records in CRM
- Schedule regular engagement with internal teams to support enquiry conversion
- Prepare robust handover packs for Account Development team
Measurement
- Achievement of business development target
- Delivery against KPI’s including Lead Generation – 50 per month and Client Engagement 6 meetings per week
- CRM monthly reporting, activity, results and next steps
Environment
- Located from Hinckley office & Home office. Subject to client diary availability 2-3 days per week on the road engaged in client meetings.
- Working pattern – 5 days per week, additional hours may be anticipated with this senior role to meet the needs of the customer and business.
