We are looking for an exceptional Grants Admin Assistant to join our Grants team (to be based in Portsmouth). Responsible to the Head of Commissioned Grants, providing administration to support the smooth operation of the grants and commissioning process and work of the Commissioning Team as part of a supportive team working together to achieve strategic priorities for grant making and in support of fundraising priorities. A key aspect of the role will be developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
About the RNRMC: RNRMC is the Navy’s principal charity which exists to support every sailor, marine and their families, for life. We do this by offering grants to and working with other organisations to deliver programmes that meet the needs of our beneficiaries. We work hard, engaging with supporters to help raise awareness and funds to deliver the outcomes required for today and tomorrow.
Experience and Background: You will be an experienced administrator working with high levels of attention to detail and standards of accuracy, along with a competent level of IT skills in Microsoft Office 365, including PowerPoint and Excel, and experience of working with database and management systems. As the first point of contact with grant applicants and prospective applicants you will be highly personable and approachable with excellent communication skills both over the phone and in writing. You will possess good organisational skills with the ability to proactively plan and manage multiple priorities to meet strict deadlines. You will have previous experience of taking minutes and meeting notes and have a good general education with GCSE level Maths and English (A-C). As a team player you will have a collegiate approach and be flexible and adaptable in undertaking varied tasks in support of the team and the department.
Hours of Work: Hours of work are 35 hours per week, between 09:00 – 17:00 between Monday to Friday, based at the Portsmouth office. We have a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment with a hybrid working approach of 60% in office and 40% home-working. The annual salary range for the post is £21,840 to £23,500 per annum, depending upon experience.

Interviews will be held on a rolling basis during the advertising period and RNRMC reserve the right to close the vacancy early and make an appointment at any stage of the application process.
