The National Army Museum’s mission is to tell the story of Our Army and the people who have served in it; to inspire, engage and educate, through our World Class Museum and Collections. Through our galleries and innovative exhibitions and public programme, the public can explore what it’s like to be a soldier, why we fought in conflicts – past and present, and discover the impact the Army has had on our society.

Are you passionate about video content and social media, and excited to share new stories with audiences? We are seeking to appoint a Digital Communications Officer to create high-quality and engaging content for a range of digital platforms and social media channels. The successful candidate will use their expertise and creativity to ensure campaigns and projects are shared with audiences, both new and existing, and will support the Audiences and Engagement team by gathering data insights to inform and drive the Museum’s digital engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality and engaging content for a range of digital platforms and social media channels.

  • Gather data insights to inform and drive the Museum’s digital engagement.

Requirements:

  • Experience of short-form video and photography capture, writing engaging copy and monitoring social media platforms is essential.

The closing date for application forms is Sunday 8 February 2026. Interviews will be held at the National Army Museum in Chelsea on Monday 16 February 2026. Reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses is available for all candidates attending an interview.
